Wednesday 10/7/2009

This Wednesday we will be discussing several short projects we want to produce. In the works right now is "El Cafe de Nadie" and Sharon's "mini van" short. There are also other projects in talks like "Midnight Snack."
We will also be looking for film festivals to submit "The Last Mexica Emperor" which is finally finished after a year in hiatus. Here's a trailer for the short:


Also, in other news: "From Mexico with Love" will be open this Friday (October 9)at Tinseltown South in Austin. Our good friend Robert Rodriguez Jr. invited us to help out in supporting the film. The film stars Kuno Becker (Goal!), as a migrant worker who challenges the ranch owner's son to a boxing match to prove himself as something more than just a migrant worker. Future Projects

Because we want this group to be constantly producing material. We want YOU to feel free to bring up scripts, ideas, and any other project that you want to work on. Each meeting, we will discuss it with you , give notes on scripts, and work things where we can make it from script to screen. The more projects the better!! We are going to take turns, and we want everyone to have a chance to do what they love.

Meeting for 9/2/2009

Our last meeting was a success in that we discussed some much needed material, and we look forward towards growing more as a group. Thank you to all those that showed up and participated.
The next meeting will be held on the 2nd of September in a private location. We will have local member screenings of shorts they have either made or worked on in the last year. We hope you can join us and be part of the screenings. Email or check our twitter page for up to date information.
